Townsville Recreational Boat Park
The Townsville Recreational Boating Park is the largest facility of its kind in Australia.
A key consideration of our wayfinding strategy was the scale of the site, and the amount of open space. Each signage element was oversized, achieved maximum visual contrast in the environment, and contributed to the overall character and sense of place.
Graphic language was inspired and informed by the maritime flag semaphore, a system for communicating and sending messages which captures the spirit of the park.
